Congratulations go to Lilli Cunningham (GHS) and Nicole Namy (CHHS)! Each student receives a $1000 scholarship toward their chosen college education.

Congratulations to Patrick Shukis for being named the 2024 recipient of the SAGE GT Senior Scholarship! Patrick attended Grapevine High School and was a standout in the classroom and in the community. He will be attending Rice University in the fall, where he will pursue a major in Sport Analytics.

Grapevine-Colleyville Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education (SAGE) is pleased to announce the 2022 recipient of the SAGE Senior Scholarship for $1,000.
Jessie Farbisz, Class of 2022 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE when she enrolls at the University of Texas at Austin to study Environmental Engineering. Her parents are Ted and Kim Farbisz of Grapevine. Jessie also attended Dove Elementary and Cross Timbers Middle School.

Grapevine-Colleyville Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education (SAGE) is pleased to announce the 2021 recipient of the SAGE Senior Scholarship for $1,000.
Moira Hilton, Class of 2021 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE when she enrolls at Columbia University in the City of New York to study Mathematics. Her parents are Kyle and Louisa Hilton of Grapevine. Moira attended Dove Elementary School and Grapevine Middle School.
Moira excelled in athletics and academics during her high school years. As a member of the GHS Varsity Fillies, the school's nationally award-winning dance team, Moira's accomplishments include serving as a Junior and 1st Lieutenant for the team and placing as a solo semi-finalist for Crowd Pleasers in 2020. Both the team and officer became National Champions in their division at ADTS in 2021. In her early high school years, she was on the JV Belles Dance Team as Sergeant/Captain as well as the GHS Varsity Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, and has played in numerous festivals.
Moira was a leader and member of several academic clubs, including GHS Advanced Academic Student Club (President for 2 years and Vice President for 1 year), Science National Honor Society (Vice President), UIL Mathematics Team, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society (Vice President), National Honor Society for Dance Arts (Secretary), National Honor Society, and GHS Ambassador Program (Community Scholar Ambassador). Her teachers awarded her with 8 Teacher’s Choice Awards.

Grapevine-Colleyville Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education (SAGE) is pleased to announce the 2020 recipient of the SAGE Senior Scholarship for $1,000.
Colin Means, Class of 2020 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE when he enrolls at Yale University to study Biomedical Engineering. His parents are Becky and Brad Means of Colleyville. Colin attended Colleyville Elementary School and Cross Timbers Middle School.
Colin founded Smile Squad, Inc, a charity providing educational and entertainment support to hospitalized children in Dallas-Fort Worth. He managed all aspects of the organization, raised $25,000 from donors, and procured books, art supplies, toys, board games, and video game systems to donate. He teamed with a local foundation to design, assemble, and install Nintendo Switch mobile charging stations at three of the region's largest hospitals for children.

Ruth Schlenker of Grapevine, class of 2019 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE as she enrolls in Brown University with a concentration on Social Analysis and Research, and she plans to cross register for classes at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) while at Brown. Her parents are Lucy and Marty Schlenker. She attended Glenhope Elementary and Cross Timbers Middle School.

Grapevine-Colleyville Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education (SAGE) is pleased to announce the 2018 recipient of the SAGE Senior Scholarship for $1,000.
Drew DeHaven of Colleyville, class of 2018 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE as he enrolls in Texas A&M University at College Station to study Electrical Engineering in the honors program. Drew is the son of Nancy and Dwayne DeHaven.
Drew attended Colleyville Elementary and Colleyville Middle. At Grapevine High, Drew is an active and accomplished debater and scored 10th out of more than 500 in Texas UIL Congressional Debate in 2018 and 2017, and served as key organizer of the Grapevine Classic Debate Tournament, which is the 2nd largest debate tournament in the state. Drew was team captain for the GHS UIL Current Events and Social Studies teams, and he competed on teams for math modeling and scientific research and development. He was in National Honor Society and the National Math and Spanish Honor Societies. He also competed in GHS Cross Country and Track and served as junior varsity team captain. Drew was a GHS Ambassador for four years.

Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education is pleased to announce the 2017 recipient of the SAGE Senior Scholarship for $1,000.
SAGE is a support group in Grapevine-Colleyville that collaborates with parents and educators to ensure that gifted children in our community reach their fullest potential.
Lauren Edwards of Colleyville, class of 2017 of Grapevine High School, will receive $1,000 from SAGE as she enrolls in the University of Texas at Austin to study engineering and run cross country.
Lauren attended Glenhope Elementary School and Cross Timbers Middle School in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. She is an accomplished cross country runner, earning four varsity letters and numerous medals at district, regional, and state tournaments. She was captain of the team for two years, a two-time All-State Athlete, a top 10 finisher at the UIL state meet in 2015 and 2016, and twice received the G Award in cross country. Lauren was president of the National Honor Society, and served as an officer in Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society. She competed at the state level of Future Problem Solving for 4 years, competed in Calculus Bowl and played classical piano for 13 years. She volunteered at Animal Advocates of North Texas, Leo Club, Colleyville Public Library, White's Chapel United Methodist Church, and local elementary schools. She worked as a counselor-in-training at Camp Thurman and as a piano accompanist at Living Word Lutheran Church.
Lauren is the daughter of Brian and Tracy Edwards of Colleyville.
